Shinjuku-ku, Japan

We take ANA airlines for a direct flight from HK to Tokyo Narita. We arrive at the hotel Rose Garden in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo around 6.00pm. The room are extremely small ( Tokyo style), it’s a good thing that Cat and I know each other much better by now! Not even room for our luggage! How much time do we really spend in the room anyway! We all are in search of a good sushi restaurant for a change of pace. We find one in the basement of a corner building not far from our hotel called Sakana no Mikore. At first they don’t seem to want to serve us as they only speak Japanese. There is only one table filled with business men They get us a table for 6 in this very small restaurant, the entire restaurant fills up with all Japanese business men and women and we the Caucasian. We start with Sake, the rest of the meal is delicious and definitely not Chinese, I order vegetable and eel tempura and edemame! We enjoy, laugh a little and then walked the pedestrian only streets. There are lots of restaurants, bars and clubs It’s so interesting to watch the young generation, their fashion, hair color and hair style, definitely Avant Garde !
