We had a wonderful flight on EL AL 6 – a 15 hour direct flight from LAX- to Ben Gurion Airport. We all mingled and talked on the plane. I just feel this is an amazing group of women. I was sitting in business class, the service and food were amazing, but I have experienced more comfortable seats and electronics on other airlines. I still managed to sleep a bit. We arrived in Tel Aviv in the early afternoon , on a cool cloudy, rainy day. We then boarded a fully loaded bus with women from Detroit,Denver, St-Louis and of course our beautiful group of women from Los Angeles. We’re staying at the Leonardo hotel in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee. We had a wonderful lecture at our hotel On unity, but in all honestly- for me it was difficult to focus due to our long flight and 2.5 hour bus ride to Tiberius. Then we walked to the restaurant Decks, overlooking the sea. The structure feels like you’re walking into an Indochina restaurant but the food was a Mediterranean Asian fusion. We had the most delicious Norwegian smoked salmon, humus, bread organic local vegetables. Yum yum or Miam Miam as Canadians say! The evening was crowned with a boat ride and Israeli dance music with a background of shimmering lights from the hillside of Tiberius. Everyone started to dance and sing, but I must say our group was definitely the least uninhibited! That was only our first night. . We ended the evening with some of us getting together and getting to know each other a little better down in the lobby.
