Reykjavík, Iceland

We all decide to take a ferry and go see the exhibits of an artist on Videy Island right across the bay. We’re all thinking it’s going to be some spectacular sculptures all fresco. It turns out to be huge pillared parallel rocks which framed different views on the island. After you see one of them, the rest are pretty stupid and boring. The best part was all the rainbows we saw due to us walking in the rain. The Island is flat and desolate. There is a cemetery which is located near a house and a playground. We end up staying 2 hours, a bit too boring for my taste. We had some time to kill so we went inside the house. That was somewhat interesting, there was one woman who had been working there for 5 years, serving teas, coffees and coffee cakes.. we find our we were the biggest group she’s ever seen all at once. So after serving 5 of us, she decides she will only serve the rest of us tea. She was the sole caretaker of that old historical house, so it reminds me of the caretaker in the movie “The Shining”! Enough to go coo coo! Plus this house was old and spooky.
