From Montreal to Dubai landing in Colombo Sri Lanka.

The chauffeur drove us to our hotel in Negumbo

We stayed at the Regal Réseau an average hotel with an amazing breakfast and a great view of the ocean

We scheduled a Tuck Tuck tour .Our driver Dixon weaved into the traffic like a race car driver

of one of the oldest Buddhist temple

a very smelly fresh fish market for locals, restaurants and hotels

a 150 years old Catholic Church,

a very informative spice market where you can heal so much with herbs and plants. We enjoyed and learned from this tour

We scheduled a 2..5 hours ayervedic massage and facial at the Jetwing Ayevedic pavillon . We felt rejuvenated after a 23 hour flight!

Then we topped the day with an Italian meal at Prego.

We walk everywhere and felt very safe.. we had a little gelato at a small Italian market, not bad!

It seems as though this city is thriving . There are lots of small shops and not too many high rise yet! But you can feel the change coming with lots of construction

It was a wonderful first day to start our vacation !
