CHEFCHAOUEN, MOROCCO

The maze like Blue city is located high in the mountains where all the houses are painted various shades of blue. The move of painting the houses blue and white is rumored to have started by Jewish immigrants in the 1930’s. The blue and white has a religious significance where it signifies the color of the sky and connect the city to heaven. We watched the sunset from the top of the hill at the Spanish mosque.

A very charming town worth the visit.
